Home Energy Solutions treats a house as a completely integrated system. We offer two audit options and the following process applies to both.

The Process

1) Diagnose
Our auditors are trained and nationally certified in energy diagnostics and understand the intricate principles of building science. When you call Home Energy Solutions, a RESNET-certified auditor shows up with the latest home performance technology and diagnostic tools, including a blower door, infrared camera, smoke puffer, and more. These tools are used to pinpoint root sources of high energy consumption and health and comfort issues such as air leaks, insufficient insulation, moisture, defective ducts, gas leaks, ventilation, and inefficient lighting and appliances. All the components of your home are thoroughly inspected. Your auditor then analyzes the data collected to determine the most effective solutions for your home.

2) Recommend
After fully assessing your home, your auditor will provide options and costs for a customized solution. You will be offered assistance in selecting the energy improvements that will be the best investments for your home, family and budget. (Please note that projected energy savings are only available with a Level 3 audit using energy modeling software.)

3) Improve
Once a course of action is selected, our Zerodraft crew can perform any work that includes air sealing and insulation, replacement weatherstripping, indoor air quality procedures, duct work, and windows and doors. As a single-source home performance provider, we handle the design and installation of your energy improvement project. This single vendor approach saves time and money, and ensures you receive the highest quality results through a verification process. Our improvements automatically include a “test out” to confirm safe and adequate air exchange.
